Location: San Francisco, CA, Onsite 40 hours a weekType: Ongoing contract opportunityCompensation Range: $55-$60/hr W2The Audio Systems Technician is a technical specialist supporting Video Production, Live Production, and Engineering pillars. This role operates, maintains, and engineers the audio systems used for live events, hybrid productions, executive broadcasts, and recorded content. In addition to day-to-day mixing and system operation, the role serves as the subject-matter expert for audio across event spaces, control rooms, conferencing platforms, and remote production environments.Responsibilities:Provide audio technical support, oversight, and mixing across Video Production, Live Production, and Engineering pillars for live, hybrid, streamed, recorded, and executive-level productions.Support pre-production planning, system setup, sound checks, live show operation, troubleshooting, recording, and post-production handoff.Collaborate with producers, directors, engineers, creative teams, integrators, and vendors to integrate audio into broadcast, conferencing, and video production workflows.Operate, configure, and maintain consistent audio quality across professional consoles, DSP systems, wireless microphones, playback, and networked infrastructure (including Dante, Q-SYS, Biamp, Yamaha, Zoom Rooms, and Cisco codecs).Manage audio signal flow and routing between event venues, control rooms, conferencing platforms, livestream destinations, and remote production environments.Diagnose and resolve complex audio, networking, echo-cancellation, gain-staging, latency, routing, synchronization, and system-integration issues, serving as an escalation resource for live incidents.Develop technical solutions and partner with Engineering to design, test, maintain, document, and improve permanent and portable audio systems.Manage audio infrastructure projects, system deployments, equipment upgrades, repairs, procurement, and vendor support cases to ensure spaces remain event-ready.Develop and maintain technical documentation, operating procedures, system diagrams, and training materials to support operators and partner teams.Evaluate emerging technologies and provide technical ownership for long-term audio initiatives and cross-functional projects.Qualifications:8-10+ years of hands-on experience running live shows, complex audio mixes, and high-profile events.Proven track record working within tech/big tech environments (e.g., tech firms, enterprise IT departments) with a deep understanding of corporate production standards and high-stakes operations.Exceptional professionalism, communication skills, and poise when supporting C-level executives (CEO, Board members) and high-visibility live broadcasts.Audio Networking: Advanced technical proficiency with Dante protocol and network audio routing.Deep operational mastery of Yamaha digital mixing consoles (e.g., CL/QL/Rivage series).Direct experience configuring and operating Zoom Rooms for corporate events and broadcasts.Experience with Cisco codecs and integrated telepresence hardware.Familiarity with corporate conference setups, boardroom AV systems, and general AV infrastructure integration.Ability to evaluate emerging AV technologies and recommend forward-looking solutions aligned with future production needs.Demonstrated ability to manage audio infrastructure deployments, equipment upgrades, procurement processes, and vendor support tickets.JOBID: 60 Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.At Cella, a randstad digital company, we welcome people of all abilities and want to ensure that our hiring and interview process meets the needs of all applicants.
