Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• 8-10 hour day shifts
• Overnight call required (unrestricted)
• Weekend call required

License Requirements

• Nebraska license highly preferred
• IMLC accepted
• Candidates needing to obtain a Nebraska license will be considered

Required Certifications & Qualifications

• Board Certified in General Anesthesiology (Required)
• TEE Certified (Required)
• Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship (Required)
• Must have completed an ACGME-approved (or international equivalent) CV Anesthesiology Fellowship
• Must have achieved at least Testamur Status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography (NBE)

Alternative Qualification Path

Candidates without fellowship training may be considered if they have:

• Minimum of 5 years of documented CV Anesthesiology experience
• Letters of recommendation from both anesthesiologists and CV surgeons
• Testamur Status in Advanced Perioperative Echocardiography (NBE)

Case Mix

• Open heart
• Thoracic
• Vascular
• Structural heart
• General OR coverage as needed

Practice Details

• Adult and geriatric patients only
• No pediatric cases
• Hands-on cases with occasional CRNA supervision
• 360-450 cardiac surgical cases annually
• 2 cardiac surgeons on staff

• 187-bed Level I Trauma & Academic Center
• 15 Main ORs
• 3 Endoscopy Suites
• 2 EP Labs
• TEE
• Invasive & Non-Invasive Cardiology
• Neuro IR
• Bronchoscopy
• MRI
• Obstetrics
