Surgery - General Physician Assistant

Join our team at a leading hospital, where you will play a crucial role in assisting surgical procedures, focusing on pre and post-cardiac surgery. You will work collaboratively in the ICU, managing patients post-ventilation and post-operative care for those coming out of the OR after cardiac, VATS, and lung procedures. This is a short-term locum tenens opportunity, available immediately for two days of coverage.

Job Responsibilities

• Round in ICU managing surgical patients with a focus on cardiac cases.
• Participate in pre and post-operative care for cardiac, VATS, and lung surgeries.
• Handle patients coming off mechanical ventilation in collaboration with the medical team.

Qualifications

• Must be board certified.
• Experience in OR with vein harvesting strongly preferred.
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS.

Working Hours

• 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Skills

• Proficiency in surgical care and ICU management.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills within a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to efficiently manage a caseload of 10-15 patients daily.
