Join a high-acuity Level IV NICU team as a Neonatology Nurse Practitioner, providing critical care and oversight of neonatal patients. Work alongside physicians but take lead as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in managing the daily care of newborns. Opportunities to engage in ground and air transport are included. Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily care of neonates in a 56-bed NICU.
  • Collaborate with physicians while leading patient care.
  • Participate in ground and air transport after completing required orientation and training.
  • Perform procedures such as PICC/UVC/UAC line placements, chest tube insertions, lumbar punctures, and intubations.
Qualifications
  • Must have a PA license or be in the process of obtaining one.
  • Board Certification is required.
  • BLS and PALS certifications are mandatory.
  • Experience in a Level IV NICU is preferred.
Working Hours
  • Evening/Night and weekend shifts with optional 24-hour shifts.
  • Orientation includes 3 full day shifts, 2 evening/night shifts, and 2 weekend shifts.
Skills
  • Proficient in neonatal procedures including PICC/UVC/UAC line placements, chest tubes, lumbar punctures, and intubations.
  • Competence in using EMR systems (online and in-person training provided).
  • Prepared to handle emergency transport situations with completed transport training.
