What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive primary care for infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Conduct physical examinations, wellness visits, and preventive health screenings
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Develop personalized treatment and chronic disease management plans
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic treatments in accordance with Louisiana regulations
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic studies
• Perform annual wellness exams and preventive healthcare services
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medications, nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation using Electronic Health Records (EHR)

Ideal Candidate

• Master's or Doctoral Degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
• Current Louisiana Nurse Practitioner License
• Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or equivalent)
• Active DEA Registration (or ability to obtain)
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient management skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Passion for delivering compassionate, evidence-based primary care

Preferred Qualifications

• Family Medicine or Primary Care experience
• Rural or Community Health experience
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patients
• BLS Certification
• PALS Certification
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
