What You'll Do

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you'll provide expert respiratory care across neonatal, pediatric, and critical care environments while helping patients breathe easier and recover faster.

Key Responsibilities Patient Care Excellence
  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory care according to physician orders and clinical protocols.
  • Assess patient conditions and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
  • Provide ventilator management and life-support support in critical care settings.
  • Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and respiratory care needs.
  • Develop and update patient care plans based on changing clinical conditions.
  • Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to make informed care decisions.
Pediatric & Neonatal Expertise
  • Provide specialized respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric populations.
  • Stay current with evidence-based practices and advancements in respiratory therapy.
  • Support high-acuity patients in intensive care and emergency situations.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Participate in physician rounds and interdisciplinary care planning.
  • Serve as a mentor, resource, and preceptor for teammates when appropriate.
  • Communicate patient goals, progress, and changes effectively across the care team.
  • Help resolve patient care, equipment, and workflow challenges.
Safety & Quality Commitment
  • Champion patient safety through infection prevention and risk-management practices.
  • Adhere to medication safety, patient identification, and clinical documentation standards.
  • Follow all regulatory, departmental, and hospital-wide safety protocols.
  • Maintain compliance with patient rights, confidentiality, and quality initiatives.
Equipment & Technology
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory therapy equipment.
  • Manage oxygen systems, inventory, and equipment processing.
  • Participate in evaluating new technologies, products, and clinical practices.
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an Accredited Respiratory Care Program
  • Current Respiratory Care License in the State of Practice
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • BLS Certification
  • NRP and PALS certifications (may be obtained after hire)
  • Strong critical-thinking, clinical assessment, and communication skills
  • Ability to adapt in fast-paced, patient-centered environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Previous Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care experience
  • NPS (Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist) credential through NBRC
