Oncology Physician Assistant

Position: Surgical Oncology PA Location: Asheville, NC

Position Details:

• Manage an inpatient surgical census of approximately 10-15 patients.
• Perform daily rounds on pre- and post-operative GI surgical oncology patients.
• Conduct inpatient consultations, assessments, and follow-up evaluations.
• See patients in the outpatient clinic for pre-operative evaluations, post-operative follow-up, and ongoing surgical care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, develop treatment plans, and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
• Provide patient education, discharge planning, and care coordination.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing, and ancillary staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the EMR.
