Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician Assistant

PRN Physician Assistant Cardiothoracic Surgery
Location: Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington, KY
Setting: Inpatient / OR
️ FTE: PRN
EMR: Epic

Summary:
Seeking a certified PA with strong CT surgery experience. Must be proficient first assisting and comfortable with OR, telemetry, and ICU duties.

️ Schedule / Call:

• 24 hr call: 7:00 AM 7:00 AM
• Call: 1 2 days/week & 1 weekend/month
  • Weekend: Friday 7 AM Monday 7 AM
• Includes inpatient rounds, procedures, surgery coverage
• Ongoing PRN & PTO/vacation coverage

Coverage Dates:

• May 31 June 13, 2026
• June 6 8, 2026 (CRITICAL)
• July , 2026
• Ongoing long term needs

Required Skills / Procedures:

• CABG
• ️ AVR / MVR
• Thoracotomy & lung resections
• Vein harvesting
• Chest tube placement

Support:

• No APP support required; direct surgeon support
