Assignment DetailsStart Date: July 13, 2026Contract Length: 13 weeksSchedule: 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)Coverage: Approximately 4 shifts per month (primarily nights needed)Orientation: Providers must arrive one day prior to first shiftSetting: Emergency Department

Clinical ResponsibilitiesAnnual volume: 12,000 patientsAdmission rate: 8%Patient population: All agesSingle physician coverage (no APP support)Manage a wide spectrum of emergency cases with limited backupProcedures required:

  • Intubation and advanced airway management
  • Central line placement
  • Chest tube placement
  • Procedural sedation
  • Adult and pediatric resuscitation
  • Orthopedic emergenciesLead trauma resuscitations and coordinate multidisciplinary teamsOrder and interpret labs, imaging, and EKGsDetermine patient disposition (admit, transfer, discharge)Accurate and timely documentation in EMR

RequirementsBoard Certified Emergency Medicine - PreferredOR Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience - AcceptedActive North Dakota license - RequiredEmergency privileges available with active licenseCertifications: ACLS, PALS, ATLS - RequiredDEA - RequiredMinimum 2 years Emergency Medicine experience - RequiredStrong experience in rural or critical access settings - Preferred
