Clinical Role

Join an established anesthesia team in Simpsonville, South Carolina, providing bread-and-butter anesthesia services in a collaborative practice environment. This locums opportunity offers a rotating schedule structure with home call responsibilities and a diverse surgical case mix.

Assignment Details

Start Date: 9/28/2026

Job Duration: 26 weeks

Coverage Requirements:

• Scheduled clinical coverage plus home call
• Rotating schedule consisting of:
  • Four 10-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM), or
  • Five 8-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)

Call Requirements:

• Home call coverage is required
• Average call frequency is approximately once per week
• Weekday call: 3:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Weekend call: 24-hour coverage
• Required callback response time: 30-45 minutes
• Post-call providers are typically off the following day and are always first out

• Eight anesthesia providers

Patient Volume:

• Approximately 200 cases

Patient Population:

• Ages 15-100 years

Case Mix Includes:

• General surgery
• Obstetrics/Gynecology
• ENT
• Orthopedics
• Routine anesthesia cases

Special Equipment:

• Standard anesthesia equipment

Support & Technology

EMR System:

• Epic

Support Staff:

• One anesthesia technician

Requirements

• NBCRNA Certification - Required
• Active South Carolina License - Required
• BLS Certification - Required
• ACLS Certification - Required
• DEA Registration - Required
• South Carolina Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) - Required
• Minimum one year of CRNA experience - Required
• Demonstrated anesthesia experience - Required
• Vaccinations required
