In collaboration with the physician, provides diagnosis and treatment of patients within the scope of practice as defined by all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, protocols, etc. and within the individual Advanced Practice Provider's (APP) particular clinical specialty area, licensure, and competency level.

Job Title: Trauma, Surgery, Critical Care

What You?ll Champion:

• Part?time Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA?C) opportunity with the Trauma & Critical Care team at WellSpan York Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center
• Rotating day/night schedule with 13?hour shifts (6:00 a.m.?7:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m.?7:00 a.m.), including every third weekend
• Flexible rotating schedule consisting of three (3) 13?hour shifts per pay period, with a 1?hour sign?out period, equating to 40 hours biweekly
• Provide advanced practice coverage for two 10?bed Intensive Care Units (ICUs) in a high?acuity inpatient setting
• Physician Assistants must have completed a Critical Care Fellowship
• Non?surgical critical care role; ideal candidates will have a background in Critical Care Medicine or Emergency Medicine

  Minimum Education:
  • Masters Degree For Nurse Practitioner. Required or
  • Bachelors Degree For Physician Assistant. Required
  • Masters Degree For Physician Assistant. Preferred
  Work Experience:
  • 1 year Relevant experience. Required
  Licenses:
  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Physician Assistant Upon Hire Required and
  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required or
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Required
  Courses and Training:
  • BLS and/or ACLS as appropriate for the clinical role. Upon Hire Required and
