JOB OVERVIEW

Job Title: Medical Oncologist

Job Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Location: Mountain Home, AR

Service Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient Cancer Center

Clinical Shift Schedule: Weekday clinic and hospital responsibilities

On-Call Shift Schedule: 1:4 call rotation

Call Response Time: As required for inpatient oncology needs

PATIENT INFORMATION

Patient Demographics: Adults with cancer diagnoses

Patient Volume/Census: Varies

Case Mix: General medical oncology and hematology

On-Site Services:

- Laboratory

- Imaging (CT, PET, X-Ray, Ultrasound)

- On-site Pharmacy

- Infusion Services

- Radiation Oncology

Support Staff Available: 1 Physician and 1 APP

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Diagnosis and management of cancer and hematologic disorders

Administration of chemotherapy and other systemic therapies

Coordination with infusion and radiation oncology teams

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Arkansas medical license (or eligibility to obtain)

Certifications: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Medical Oncology

Experience: Preferred but open to new graduates

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide outpatient and inpatient oncology services

Collaborate with infusion, radiation, pharmacy, and imaging teams

Participate in call rotation (1:4)

Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives in cancer care

Contribute to program growth and community outreach at Baxter Health
