Physician / Hospitalist / Pennsylvania / Permanent / Permanent Hospitalist Physician - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Suburbs - $300k base Job

- Permanent, hospital-employed hospitalist physician -$300,000 base salary -$10,000sign on bonus - Up to $15,000incentive bonus (based on quality metrics) - 401K contribution (100% match first 3% and 50% on next 2% of salary), and CME - Very competitive Healthcare benefit package - Malpractice - iPad provided - Average 16 shifts a month which usually breaks down to 13 days and 3 nights - Night shift ratio will be reduced once a dedicated nocturnist is added - Variety of shifts: Short call (7am - about 5pm); Long call: 8am - 7pm;Swing shifts (only designated admission shift)1pm - 11pm - Other admissions are distributed amongst other physicians and 2 APPs - APPs also handle follow up patients unless a physician is requested - Round and go - Average shifts are 10 hrs - Ability to work extra shifts if desired - Available specialists: Cardiology, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Heme/Onc, GI, ID, Tele Neurology, General Surgery, Vascular, Cardiothoracic, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics - "Partially-closed" ICU; Intensivists on site handle admissions until 4:00 PM. Intensivists on-call 24-7. No vent management. - No rapidresponse; handled by residency and 24/7 on-site anesthesia - Physicians respond to their own codes - Long call and night physicians respond to hospitalist codes only; residency handle al other codes - Great location in desirable north suburb of Pittsburgh!
