  • Practice Setting: Clinic and call coverage in a well-supported obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) and women's health practice
  • Start Date: August 15, 2026
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, typically 8a-8p or 8p-8a, with varied clinic and call coverage
  • Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $9,030 - $10,690
  • Average Clinic Volume: About 14-16 scheduled patients per day
  • Support: On-site lab and ultrasound available, plus medical assistant and nursing support
  • EMR: Cerner Community Works
OB/GYN Physician Job Requirements
  • Board-certified OB/GYN physician required
  • At least 1 year of post-residency obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) clinical experience required
  • Completion of an accredited obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) residency in the U.S. or Canada required
  • Active Vermont medical license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) with Vermont included required; physicians willing to obtain licensure may be considered
  • BLS (AHA) certification required
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
  • Most recent NPDB Self Query Report within 30 days required at presentation
  • Clean malpractice history preferred
OB/GYN Physician Job Responsibilities
  • Provide prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum obstetric care across low-risk and high-risk pregnancies
  • Manage outpatient obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) clinic visits, call coverage, and labor and delivery responsibilities
  • Interpret fetal heart rate (FHR) monitoring, nonstress tests (NST), contraction stress tests (CST), and fetal scalp electrode (FSE) monitoring; perform obstetric ultrasounds
  • Perform routine vaginal deliveries, assist with low-forceps deliveries, and participate in cesarean section (C-section) decision-making
  • Manage complicated obstetric deliveries, including cesarean sections (C-sections), breech presentations, multiple births, placental abruptions, and vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC) deliveries
  • Repair 3rd- and 4th-degree lacerations when indicated
  • Perform office and minor gynecology procedures such as intrauterine device (IUD) placement, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP)
  • Handle open and laparoscopic gynecology procedures, including diagnostic laparoscopy, tubal ligation, adhesiolysis, chromotubation, ectopic pregnancy management, ovary removal (oophorectomy), cystectomy, and extensive lysis of adhesions
  • Work closely with nurse midwives, nurses, and support staff to deliver safe, high-quality women's health care
