• Shift: 24-hour call (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM)

Availability

• ASAP start
• 7-10 shifts per month
• 24-hour inpatient call shifts
• Weekend coverage as needed
• Must be able to remain within 30 minutes while on call
• Coverage required at two locations approximately 13 miles apart

Required Licenses

• Active Iowa license OR
• Active Illinois license AND active IMLC OR
• Active IMLC
• LOQ required at name clear if applying with IMLC

Required Certifications & Qualifications

• Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery
• Fellowship Trained in Orthopedic Surgery
• Orthopedic Trauma experience required
• Experienced providers only

Practice Details

• Hospital-based inpatient orthopedic trauma coverage
• No outpatient clinic responsibilities
• 24-hour pager call with inpatient consults/procedures as needed
• Coverage includes orthopedic trauma cases and same-day add-ons
• Total joint experience not required
• Trauma Level III program
• Daily OR access
• No APP supervision required
• Nursing and APP support available in the OR
• Imaging, lab, and pharmacy services available
• Average hospital census: 230-250
• No telehealth
• No teaching responsibilities

Ideal Candidate
