Anesthesiology Physician

Opportunity Highlights- Schedule: 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), 10-hour shifts, and 24-hour shifts available; Day shift required; Weeknight on-call (pager) required; Weekend on-call (pager) preferred; Overtime not expected; Assignment duration: 26 weeks; Target start date: August 10, 2026
- Job Setting: Hospital
- Types of Cases: General, Orthopedic, OB, Pediatrics
- Credentialing: Estimated privileging timeframe: 30 days; Accelerated/Temporary privileges available (30-60 days)
- Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
- Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtain and/or verify patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certification required
- Certifications: ECFMG and FLEX; Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia; M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- Licensure: Currently licensed as a Physician; Candidates needing to obtain Pennsylvania state licensure will be considered
