Anesthesiology Physician

Opportunity Highlights- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Overtime offered but not expected. Holiday shifts preferred.
- Job Setting: Hospital
- Types of Cases: General, Cardiac, Neuro, Ortho, OB, Pediatrics
- Credentialing: Estimated privileging timeframe: 105 days. Must cross credential at Cape Fear Valley Medical, Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital, and Hoke Hospital. Target start date: March 16, 2026.
- Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
- Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtain and/or verify patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
- Induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certification Required
- Certifications: ECFMG and FLEX. Completion of approved Residency in Anesthesia.
- Licensure: Currently licensed as a Physician (M.D./D.O.) from an accredited College of Medicine. Must hold or be able to obtain North Carolina state licensure. (Candidates needing to obtain state licensure will not be considered.)
