Fiber Splice Technician

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fiber Splicer Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for the installation, splicing, testing, and maintenance of fiber optic networks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform fusion splicing of fiber optic cables.
• Install and test fiber optic networks using VFL, OPM
• Troubleshoot, test, and repair fiber optic cables and components.
• Ensure fiber installations comply with industry standards and customer specifications.
• Work in various environments ( indoor, outdoor, and sometimes confined spaces).
• Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in fiber optic splicing and testing preferred.
• Proficient with fiber tools and test equipment (e.g., fusion splicer, VFL, OPM).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Must have own vehicle.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of color codes used in fiber splicing.
• Familiarity with GIS systems

Working Conditions:

• Fieldwork required; must be comfortable working in various weather conditions.
• May involve on-call rotations, weekends, or extended hours based on project needs.
