Urgent Care Physician

Coverage Needed

• Start Date: 09/01/2026
• Schedule: Mix of 10a-10p or 6a-6p; typically 4 in a row
• Coverage needed Mon-Thurs
• Estimated Shifts/Month: 16

Clinical Details

• Walk-In Clinic averages 60-70 patients per day split between 3 providers
  • 2.5 patients per hour
• MD/DO may be alone from 6a-9a / NP may be alone from 9p-10p
• EMR: Epic
• Support Staff: Experienced NP's, RN's, LPN's, MA's
  • all specialties on site other than Rheum, Pediatric Specialist
• Adult Percentage: 60.00%
• Peds Percentage: 40.00%
• Typical Cases Seen: Some Ortho, xrays, spliting, suturing, foreign body eye removal, cough sore throat, UTI, STD testing/pelvic exam, flu, rashes, ect.
• Procedures: Splinting, suturing required

Requirements

• Illinois License or IMLC: Required
• BC or BE in Family Medicine or EM
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Certifications Required: PALS, DEA, CSR
• Must be available to cover Mon-Thurs
• Required at Initiation of Credentialing: Documentation verifying clinical ambulatory experience providing care to at least 50 Walk-In Clinic/Express Care patients within the past 12 months OR proof of successful completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency program
