Critical Requirements

• Active Virginia (VA) License - REQUIRED
• Gastroenterology experience (inpatient + outpatient mix)
• EPIC/Athena/Meditech EMR experience - REQUIRED
• Ability to cover procedures + call - REQUIRED

Coverage Dates

• Start: ASAP
• End: Ongoing
• Specific need: May 18-22, 2026

Schedule / Coverage Model

• Scheduled clinical hours + call
• Call ratio: 1:1
• Beeper call
• 30-minute response time required
• Night call required every night during coverage

Practice Setting

• Hospital + outpatient clinic coverage
• Endoscopy suite + office clinic + inpatient consults
• Beds in department: 4
• Assigned and unassigned rounding responsibilities

Clinical Workflow

• Endoscopy procedures:
  • Monday, Wednesday
  • Half-day Thursday
  • Friday
• Clinic visits:
  • Tuesday
  • Half-day Thursday
• Inpatient consults + rounding daily as needed

Patient Volume

• 20-25 patients per shift

Additional Notes

• Overtime begins after 40 hours
• Physician manages:
  • Endoscopy procedures
  • Outpatient clinic
  • Inpatient consults
  • Night call coverage
