Cardiology Physician

Coverage Needed

• Start Date: October 2026
• End Date: Ongoing
• Schedule: 7-day coverage blocks every other month; 24-hour shifts from 8:00 AM - 8:00 AM
  • 8am- 9pm will be onsite
  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM in-house
  • potential for additional coverage

Clinical Details

• Balanced mix of inpatient consultative services, outpatient clinic responsibilities, and call coverage
• Practice Settings: Inpatient and outpatient
• Patient Volume:
  • Average inpatient census: 15 patients per day
  • Average clinic volume: 8-10 patients per day
• Call: Telephone, Included in 24-hour shifts with low callback volume
• EMR: Epic
• Direct patient care daily, which may include: Full-day inpatient, A combination of inpatient and outpatient clinic responsibilities
• Responsibilities: Inpatient cardiology consults and rounding, Outpatient cardiology clinic coverage, Interpretation of stress tests, Echocardiogram reading and interpretation, Management of general cardiology patients across inpatient and outpatient settings

Requirements

• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Certifications: ACLS; BLS
• Licenses: Active Illinois License or IMLC eligibility accepted
  • will accept candidates needing to obtain a license
• DEA; CSR
• Credentialing Timeframe: 90 days
• Minimum Years Experience: 1
