  • Role: Locum Tenens Cardiologist

  • Location: Alpena, Michigan

  • Setting: Combination of outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, call coverage, and procedures

Schedule

  • Workdays: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts (two weeks a month)

  • Call: 1:2 call expectation (includes nights/weekends)

  • Start Date: September 2026 - ongoing need

  • Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days

Clinical Responsibilities

  • See new and established patients

  • Read imaging/tests

  • Perform procedures based on skills, including:

    • Diagnostic caths (optional)

    • TEE

    • Cardioversion

    • Loop implant/explant

    • No supervision responsibilities

    • 1 APP on staff (out on maternity leave starting Oct 2025)

      Technology

      • EMR: EPIC

      • Dictation: Dragon

      Requirements

      • Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Cardiology

      • ACLS/BLS certifications

      • Case logs: 50 cardiology-related cases in the past 12 months, 25 TEEs within the last 12 months

      • Proctoring: May be required depending on procedures

      • Licensing: Will consider IMLC candidates
