• Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $9,030 - $10,690
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Coverage: 24-hour inpatient call, 7-10 shifts per month
• Practice Setting: Hospital-based, inpatient-only coverage
• Case Mix: Ortho trauma and same-day add-ons
• On-Call: Required; must remain within 30 minutes of the care setting while on call

Job Requirements

• Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery
• Fellowship trained in Orthopedics
• Active Iowa and Illinois license, or active Iowa/Illinois license with IMLC, or active IMLC with LOQ at name clear
• At least 1 year of relevant orthopedic surgery experience required
• Willingness to work across multiple designated hospital campuses
• Clean malpractice and background history
• Self-Query NPDB uploaded within the month at presentation

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient orthopedic trauma coverage and respond to same-day add-ons
• Take 24-hour pager call and see inpatient cases as needed
• Cover orthopedic call for multiple hospital campuses based on clinical need
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage orthopedic trauma patients in a hospital setting
• Collaborate with OR staff, nursing, and advanced practice support
• Deliver timely, patient-centered care in a busy trauma environment
