We are a smaller trucking company seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic specialized in heavy duty trucks and trailers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance, working independently with required tools to ensure our fleet operates efficiently and safely. This full-time role offers competitive pay starting at $25 - $35+ per hour, based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits including retirement account, health and dental insurance, and paid time off.

Responsibilities

• Grease and service trucks, trailers, and machinery
• Perform scheduled oil changes
• Change and repair tires as needed
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy duty vehicles
• Perform diesel diagnostics and troubleshooting using standard hand tools and proprietary equipment
• Maintain and service equipment independently
• Ensure timely maintenance and repairs to maintain fleet safety
• Provide occasional on-call or emergency repairs as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in diesel engine repair
• Proficiency in diesel diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Strong mechanical repair and preventative maintenance skills
• Experience with tire repair and oil change procedures
• Ability to service heavy duty trucks and trailers
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
• Willingness and ability to learn new skills and techniques

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working independently in a mechanic role
• Familiarity with using required tools for equipment servicing
• Availability for occasional on-call or emergency repairs
