Scrap Burner/Metal Processor

Position requires:

High school/GED preferred

Valid drivers license preferred

Duties as follows:

• Operate cutting torch to cut pieces of scrap into specified sizing
• Maintain clean torch cutting tip and replace cutting tip as required;
• Complete daily paperwork including, but not limited to, a pre-shift safety inspection;
• Perform dismantling, stacking, and scrap value sorting actions;
• Perform basic maintenance actions and other general labor duties as required.
• Ability to run or learn hydraulic shears for non ferrous/ferrous material
• Bobcat and forklift experience preferred
• Outdoor work required in all seasons
• Ability to stand 8 hours

Required skills:

• Full time M-F with Saturday hours
• Able to stand for 8 hour shift
• Must be able to work in varying natural elements
• Able to lift up to 40lbs
• Results orientated/Strong work ethic
• Reliability, enthusiasm, teamwork
• Well-developed interpersonal skills - ability to get along with diverse personalities

Job Type:

• Full time
• $15.00-$19.00 per hour
• Paid holidays and vacation pay
