Family Med Physician or APP - Per Diem (Job Overview)

- Conduct comprehensive health assessments to identify patient needs and appropriate care plans.
- Perform physical examinations and document health histories accurately.
- Consult with specialists and colleagues to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to support patient treatment plans.
- Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and the nature of their health conditions.
- Supervise and mentor mid-level providers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development through required education programs.
- MD/DO: Medical Doctor with current licensure
- MD/DO: Board certification (or Board eligible) required
- APP: Current license from the Texas Board of Nursing and completion of program at an accredited school or graduation from an accredited program as Physician Assistant and current Texas state licensure or eligibility for licensure
- APP: Must have a minimum of 2 years of working experience as an NP/PA.
- Provider shall obtain, maintain, and participate in the Medicare and Medicaid Programs, workers compensation, other federal and state reimbursement programs, and the payment plan of any commercial insurer, health maintenance organization, preferred provider organization, accountable health plan, and other health benefit program requested by Legacy.
- Ability to meet Legacy Community Health s EPIC proficiency requirements.
- Demonstrated competency with an EHRS system.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Above average organizational skills. Strong typing and computer skills.
- This job requires access to confidential and sensitive information, requiring ongoing discretion and secure information management.
- Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and decision-making responsibilities.
- Previous experience in a community healthcare setting is preferred.
