The Staff Pad is partnering with a respected healthcare system committed to improving the lives of patients, employees, and the surrounding community in Las Vegas, NM and we are seeking compassionate and driven Registered Nurses to join the Emergency Department team.

The ER RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, supervising, and evaluating the nursing care of patients.

Schedule: Full-Time Night Shift

What You'll Do

Responsibilities

  • Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care by acuity
  • Administer medications, treatments, and emergency care per physician orders and protocols
  • Monitor, evaluate, and document patient conditions, treatment responses, and outcomes
  • Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and care teams to implement patient care plans
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge care
  • Operate and maintain ED equipment while ensuring safety and quality standards
  • Respond to medical emergencies, trauma cases, and critical care needs in an acute care setting
  • Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records and nursing documentation
  • Advocate for patients and promote compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Adhere to hospital policies, regulations, infection prevention standards, and best practices
  • Integrate the nursing process with care plans and policies to ensure safe, coordinated care

What We're Looking For

Education & Certifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
  • 2+ years of RN experience required; 1+ year of ED or related specialty experience preferred
  • Current New Mexico RN or compact state license required
  • BLS required within 6 weeks of hire
  • ACLS and PALS required; TNCC required within 90 days of employment

Additional Requirements

  • Experience with standard nursing and medical equipment
  • Strong communication skills, English proficiency, and commitment to exceptional patient care
