- Manage high-risk pregnancies and perform specialized procedures (e.g., amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Document and communicate findings using EPIC and other EMRs
- Support in high-volume environments, averaging around 27 patients per day
- Rotate between multiple hospital sites in Richmond area, including St. Mary's Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, and Memorial Regional Medical Center
Required:
- Medical license in Virginia or eligible for licensure
- Certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine
- Proven experience in high-risk obstetrics
- Proficiency in procedures such as amniocentesis and fetal procedures
Preferred: - Experience supervising or working alongside other healthcare providers
- Knowledge of EPIC EMR system
This assignment involves supporting high-risk obstetric care at a leading facility in Richmond, VA, with a mix of office and inpatient responsibilities. The practice functions with a dedicated team, including nurses, sonographers, genetic counselors, and support staff. You will rotate between two hospital sites approximately 30 minutes apart, providing critical services in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Credentialing is expected to take about 90 days, with coverage supported through hospital reimbursements for travel and accommodation.
