Overview:

John C. Cassidy is seeking an HVAC Commercial Installer - Piping is responsible for installing, assembling, with a strong focus on piping systems, including chilled water, condenser water, and refrigerant piping. This role ensures that all installations meet design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

What You'll Do:

• Install, layout, and assemble HVAC piping systems for commercial projects, and large custom homes, including copper, steel, and PVC piping.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Perform brazing, soldering, and welding on piping systems as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to complete installations efficiently.
• Pressure test piping systems to identify and repair leaks.
• Install and support HVAC equipment such as chillers, boilers, air handlers, and pumps.
• Maintain compliance with all safety procedures and company policies.
• Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and meet quality standards.
• Provide guidance or mentorship to apprentice installers when assigned.

What You'll Bring:

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial HVAC installation experience, with strong piping background.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred.
• Certifications:
• EPA Universal Certification required
• OSHA 10 or 30 preferred
• Welding or brazing certification a plus
• Skills:
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and piping installation methods
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments
