Orthopedics Physician Assistant

Health Care System seeks to add a full-time orthopedic Physician Assistant to the Orthopedic team. This position includes both the clinic and OR. This is a well-established and busy practice. The Physician Assistant will support two Fellowship trained orthopedic surgeons. The doctors focus on hip and knee joint replacements, sports cases (scopes) and general cases. The Physician Assistant will run an orthopedic clinic parallel to the physician. The group has a state-of-the-art facility which includes PT/OT, EMR and newer OR suites. Call is only two days per month.

Responsibilities include:
- Run orthopedic clinic
- First assist
- Joint aspiration and injections
- Pre-op and post-op H&P s
- Hospital rounding
- Write scripts
- Coordinate with Physical Therapist
- Ordering tests and evaluating X-ray, CT scan and MRI
- Casting and splinting

The location is within the Medford, Oregon area. This doctor will train a recent graduate with an orthopedic rotation. Compensation: excellent. Additionally, there is an excellent benefits package.
