REQUIRED PROCEDURES

    • High Risk Pregnancy (i.e. with Toxemia, Diabetes, Class II or Higher Cardiacs, Chronic Lung Problems, Chronic Renal Disease, etc.)
    • FHR Interpretation - NST/CST/FSE
    • OB ultrasounds - Performance of Interpretation
    • OB ultrasounds - Performance of Level I/Screening (Viability)
  • Labor and Delivery Procedures:
    • Routine Delivery - Vaginal, Low Forceps, Decision-Making for C-Section
    • Complicated Delivery - C-Section, Breech, Multiple Births, Abruptions, etc
    • VBAC's
    • Repair of 3rd & 4th Degree Lacerations
  • Gynecology Procedures:
    • Surgical Gynecology - Open
    • Laparoscopic Diagnostic/Minor Only - Tubal Ligation, LOA's, Chromal Tubation

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: Board Certified - REQUIRED
  • Licenses: Active OH license or ability to obtain - HIGHLY PREFERRED; must have OH license for June/July start

  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS - REQUIRED
  • Other Qualifications: Clean malpractice history - REQUIRED; NPDB Self-Query report (within 30 days) - REQUIRED
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide in-house laborist coverage for L&D unit, managing low and high-risk pregnancies.
  • Perform routine vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and complicated deliveries (breech, multiple births, abruptions).
  • Conduct emergent gynecologic surgeries including ectopic pregnancy, ovarian removal, cystectomy, and extensive adhesiolysis.
  • Perform circumcisions and repair of 3rd/4th degree lacerations.
  • Interpret fetal heart rate tracings (NST/CST/FSE) and perform/interpret Level I OB ultrasounds.
