Job Details:

  • 13-week contract starting June 1, 2026 with extension options

  • Four 10-hour shifts per week or three 12-13 hour shifts each week plus one rotating Saturday per month

  • No call requirements - requires weekly availability with preference not to rotate weeks on/weeks off

  • Practice locations include main OR, outpatient surgery center, and endoscopy center with option to practice at any location

  • Patient population ranges from age 13 to end of life

  • All CRNA scope of practice except open heart/thoracic, pediatrics, obstetrics, and peripheral nerve blocks

  • Work in both inpatient and outpatient settings

  • Must have valid ACLS and BLS certifications completed through AHA

  • Minimum 2 years experience required, preferably with academic background and Level 1 or 2 trauma experience

  • Board certification and Virginia license required

  • Must live 50+ miles from facility - no local candidates

  • All time off requests must be made upfront, with consecutive requests exceeding 5 days not approved during summer months

  • Epic EMR system experience preferred

    This major medical center operates as a Level 1 trauma center with a comprehensive anesthesia department staffing 60 CRNAs, 70 attending anesthesiologists, and 60 anesthesia residents. The facility manages 33 main operating rooms, 16 offsite anesthesia locations, 12 outpatient surgery ORs, and 3-4 standalone GI center rooms. This 600-bed hospital provides advanced medical care across multiple specialties and maintains state-of-the-art surgical facilities supporting complex medical procedures and trauma care.
