Occupational Therapist - Rehab - (OT - Rehab)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $2136.00 - $2201.00
This 13-week inpatient Occupational Therapist assignment is based in Aberdeen, Washington, a welcoming coastal community at the mouth of the Chehalis River. Aberdeen offers convenient access to the Pacific Ocean, lush forests, and scenic drives along the Washington coast. The area provides a relaxed small-town lifestyle with nearby parks, walking trails, rivers, and beaches, ideal for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy kayaking, fishing, hiking, and coastal exploration. Its location also allows for easy weekend trips to the Olympic Peninsula and other iconic Pacific Northwest destinations.The facility features an inpatient-focused environment where Occupational Therapists are integral members of a multidisciplinary team. You will collaborate closely with physical therapists, speech therapists, nursing, case management, and physicians to support safe discharges and optimal functional outcomes. The workplace emphasizes patient-centered care, clear communication, and a supportive, collegial atmosphere for travelers and core staff alike.In this role, you can expect to evaluate and treat adult and geriatric patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including post-surgical, orthopedic, neurological, and general medical conditions. Typical responsibilities include functional assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, ADL and IADL training, discharge planning recommendations, caregiver education, and coordination with the broader care team. You may see patients coming from both acute and post-acute settings, providing variety and ongoing clinical challenge.A typical day involves managing a structured caseload, prioritizing new evaluations, and providing targeted treatments aligned with patients goals and safety needs. Documentation is completed in the facilitys EMR system within established timelines. You will participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary rounds as needed, contributing your expertise to help guide the patients plan of care and discharge disposition.The schedule consists of 8-hour day shifts, offering a predictable daytime routine and the opportunity to enjoy evenings along the coast. Patient volumes and ratios are designed to be manageable while still providing a diverse and engaging caseload, allowing you to maintain high-quality, individualized care.This assignment offers the opportunity to build your resume with inpatient experience in a coastal Pacific Northwest community while working with a supportive team and gaining exposure to a range of diagnoses and functional needs.
