Allergy/Immunology Physician Assistant

APP - Trauma Surgery OpportunityLocation: Midland, Michigan•Full-time, night shift position with a 7-on/7-off schedule (6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.)•100% inpatient coverage of surgical specialties throughout the hospital•No outpatient calls•Team-based approach working alongside another nighttime APPResponsibilities:•Respond to all trauma activations•Perform admissions and consults for trauma, general surgery, and urology services•Assist with admissions for colorectal, thoracic, and orthopedic surgery as needed•First call for inpatient surgical specialties nursing questions•Perform bedside procedures including chest tubes, central lines, arterial lines, and laceration repair•Co-manage ICU/critical care patientsCertifications & Licensure:•AHA-approved BLS and ACLS certifications•ATLS certification required prior to completion of orientationEducation & Experience:•Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program•One year of experience with surgical specialties preferred; new graduates consideredAdditional Information:•Employment contingent on successful credentialing•Robust onboarding and training program provided
