Key Details- Assignment Type: Locum Tenens- Setting: Both Inpatient and Outpatient- Start Date: ASAP- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, no weekends, no call- Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric, 70% Oncology and 30% Hematology- Location: Mechanicsville, VA- Stipends: Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates

Job Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive hematology and oncology care to adults and geriatric patients.- Engage in both outpatient office visits and inpatient rounds, with patient volumes ranging from 12-25 outpatients and 2-8 inpatients per day.- Collaborate effectively with the existing physician and healthcare team, utilizing Epic EMR for accurate patient documentation.

Qualifications- Board Certified in Medical Oncology Required - Board Certified in Hematology Highly Preferred - Active VA License Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required - Meet insurance coverage requirements as per VA statute limitations

Working Hours- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM- Enjoy a schedule free from weekend duties and on-call requirements

Skills- Exceptional proficiency in managing oncology and hematology cases- Strong communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration- Ability to function efficiently in both inpatient and outpatient settings- Competency in using Epic EMR for patient management and documentation
