JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Hematology & Oncology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Coos Bay, OR Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: ASAP Ongoing Shift Schedule: 8:30a-4:30p, 4-5 days/week Admin day or half day if needed Call Schedule: Nights & Weekends Call Ratio: 1:4 Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: 20% Hematology, 80% Oncology Average Daily Volume: 10-15 (OP) Admissions: Yes Rounding: Yes FACILITY INFORMATION Trauma Level: III EMR System: EPIC Specialty Backup Available: Radiation Oncology Physicians in Practice: 3 Support Staff Available: 2 APPs JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology (Required) Licenses: Active OR license (Highly Preferred) DEA: Active DEA certification (Required) Other Qualifications: Clean background/no malpractice (Highly Preferred), Self-Query NPDB within the month (Required) Duties & Responsibilities Provide outpatient hematology/oncology care, seeing 10-15 patients per day Participate in 1:4 call rotation, covering 7 days of call including one weekend per month Round on inpatients admitted for chemotherapy Collaborate with radiation oncologists and APPs Utilize EPIC EMR for clinical documentation and order entry
