A well-established, mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Western New York is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join its Family Planning and Reproductive Health team. The Family Planning Provider will deliver comprehensive outpatient reproductive and sexual healthcare services in a modern clinical setting. Minimum Qualifications- Licensed and board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State.
- Experience providing family planning services, including Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARCs).
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with electronic health records, particularly eClinicalWorks, is preferred.
- Active New York State NP or PA license.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant.
- Strong clinical knowledge of family planning, reproductive health, and contraceptive options.
- Excellent communication, patient education, and counseling skills.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, culturally sensitive, and nonjudgmental care.
- Perform comprehensive health assessments for individuals seeking family planning and reproductive healthcare services.
- Develop individualized treatment and family planning plans based on patient goals and needs.
- Counsel patients on contraceptive methods, including effectiveness, benefits, and potential side effects.
- Prescribe medications and contraceptive therapies as appropriate within scope of practice.
- Insert and manage Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARCs), including IUDs and contraceptive implants.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, behavioral health providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records.
- Follow all federal, state, and organizational guidelines related to family planning and reproductive healthcare services.
