Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) with a strong background in pediatrics to provide high-quality patient care during night shifts in an inpatient setting.
The ideal candidate will manage pediatric patients, including neonates, infants, and children, ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate care during overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive patient care during night shifts
- Assess, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients (birth to 21 years)
- Handle acute and urgent clinical situations independently overnight
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the care team
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and patient families
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Respond promptly to emergencies and critical care situations
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program
- Active Physician Assistant license (State-specific requirement)
- Prior experience in Pediatrics required
- Ability to work independently during night shifts
- Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure
- Experience in inpatient pediatric or neonatal care
- NCCPA certification (or equivalent as required)
- Prior experience working night shifts independently
