Clinical Details

• Trauma Level: 3
• Number of Physicians: 4
• Number of Advanced Practice Providers: 7
  • Supervision of APP expected
• Physician Nurse Ratio: 1 nurse/provider, 3 cast techs/7 providers
• Ancillary Staff per Provider: 3 Reception/7 providers, 2 Surgery Schedulers/7 providers
• Number of Exam Rooms per Provider: 2 exam rooms and 3 cast rooms
• Medical Imaging, Lab & Pharmacy
• Average Daily Hospital Practice Census: Mainly consults, current avg hospital daily census 160 pts/day
• Appointment Length: 10-30 minutes depending on new consult, recheck, post-op, or procedure
• EMR: Epic
• Teaching Opportunity: IM and FM residency; PA student rotation
• Inpatient Responsibilities: Rounding on post-op patients, inpatient/ED consults, OR
• Job Responsibilities: Clinical, Surgical, Trauma/Orthopedic Call

Requirements

• Board Certified
• Clean Malpractice/Background
• Self-Query NPDB (Should be pulled within the month)
• Active IA License
• Must be able to cover the 2 blocks of dates
• Providers must perform: Total hip, knee, and shoulder replacement; Hand, wrist, knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and foot surgical procedures; Trauma injuries, fracture care, sports medicine, and other disorders
