TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Primary Care Provider (NP/PA) in Pittsburgh, PA for our client, supporting primary care and outpatient medical services within a growing healthcare practice. This part-time opportunity offers significant autonomy and is ideal for a confident provider who enjoys working independently while collaborating with a broader clinical team. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach to care within an evolving outpatient environment.
Responsibilities as the Primary Care Provider (NP/PA):
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and assess acute and chronic healthcare needs.
- Diagnosis & Treatment: Develop treatment plans, diagnose medical conditions, order and interpret diagnostic testing, and manage ongoing patient care.
- Medication Management: Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations, clinical protocols, and best practices.
- Preventive Care & Education: Educate patients on disease prevention, wellness strategies, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records utilizing electronic medical record systems.
- Collaborative Care: Partner with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate patient care, facilitate referrals, and ensure continuity of treatment.
Qualifications for the Primary Care Provider (NP/PA):
- Education: Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program is required.
- Licensure: Current Pennsylvania CRNP or PA-C license is required. Prescriptive authority, DEA registration, and BLS certification are required.
- Experience: 1+ years of outpatient, primary care, family practice, internal medicine, addiction medicine, urgent care, or related clinical experience is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Experience utilizing EMR systems is required. Experience with Tebra or similar platforms is preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, adaptability, professionalism, organizational abilities, and the confidence to work independently are required.
