Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician (Locum Tenens) Are you a dedicated OB-GYN looking to make a meaningful impact while enjoying flexible scheduling? Join our team as a Locum Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician, where your expertise will provide essential care in both clinical and hospital settings. This is a vital opportunity to deliver high-quality prenatal, reproductive, and gynecological services while working in a dynamic, supportive environment. In this role, you will cover approximately 3-4 days per week, with hours typically from 9 am to 4 pm, and the option to start as early as 8:30 am. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive outpatient care, delivering babies at the hospital, and participating in on-call rotations about 3-4 days per week. On-call duties may involve coverage from 5 pm to 7 am on weekdays or weekends, including 24-hour call shifts from 7 am to 7 am. The schedule includes a half-day designated for administrative tasks, integrated into your workweek. Required Skills: Active California medical license and CA DEA registration Board Certified or Board Eligible within five years of residency completion Valid BLS and ACLS certifications Proven experience with hospital deliveries and outpatient gynecology Strong clinical skills and ability to manage acute obstetric and gynecological cases Excellent communication and patient care skills Nice to Have Skills: Experience with high-risk pregnancies and complex cases Prior hospital privileging experience Ability to work independently and handle on-call duties efficiently Familiarity with EMR systems used in OB-GYN practices Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution Completion of an OB-GYN residency program At least 1-3 years of prior practice experience, ideally in a hospital or clinic setting with diverse patient populations Other Requirements: Successful completion of credentialing process (expected to take up to 90 days) with a preferred start date of June 2026 Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts No travel required, all necessary reimbursements provided where applicable This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in a rewarding environment that values your expertise.
