Compensation: $70,000 $95,000/year
Location: Burton, MI
Schedule: Part-Time, 2 Nights per Week, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Behavioral Health Physician Assistant in Burton, MI for our client, supporting patient care, clinical assessments, and treatment within a behavioral health urgent care setting. This night shift role focuses on evaluating and managing patients with mental health conditions, including crisis intervention and medication management. The on-site position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative clinical environment providing critical care services.
Responsibilities as the Behavioral Health Physician Assistant:
- Patient Assessment: Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
- Medication Management: Prescribe and monitor medications in accordance with state regulations.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide support and intervention for patients experiencing acute behavioral health needs.
- Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely clinical records within required systems.
Qualifications for the Behavioral Health Physician Assistant:
- Education: Master s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program required.
- Licensure: Active Michigan Physician Assistant license and controlled substance license required.
- Certification: NCCPA certification required.
- Experience: Prior clinical experience in behavioral health or psychiatric care required.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience working with mental health conditions and crisis intervention preferred.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with clinical documentation systems and treatment planning tools.
